Where did the summer go?? To my cakes, of course! It seems like we just had graduation, and it's already time to welcome in the next group of students into my classroom! I fell down on updating cakes toward the end of the summer break, so I'm playing catch up now.
I was lucky enough to make some really awesome cakes this summer! I made a pokemon ball cake, which was my first fondant-covered cake. I was very please with how it turned out!
My dad's birthday was July 5th. When you ask him what he wants for his birthday, Christmas, etc., he usually says "A new camper." So... that's what he got this year. Check out his birthday cake!!
I was lucky enough to provide the cake for a baby shower, as well... we used my cupcake tower, with pink and white roses for the cupcakes. For the centerpiece of the table, I made a baby rattle out of cake, as well. Everyone loved the way it turned out...
As you can see, I had a very busy summer... but it was wonderful! I think I'm going to have a hard time this year, trying to manage work and my new job, lol! If you need a cake, give me a call... But call early - I have limited space available, and slots are filling up quickly!
Until next time...
Confectionately,
Carter
